We absolutely loved undertaking this Felixstowe kitchen project in 2017 and what a stunning kitchen this is. Our clients had a lovely spacious extension added on to the back of their house whilst they were undertaking a whole house renovation using modern design and the latest technology.
When our clients walked into our Rendlesham showroom, they had a clear idea of what they were looking for and what they wanted out of their new kitchen. Andrew helped them along their journey and gathered all the information that he needed to create their dream kitchen.
We create a hand drawn design with plan and elevations for every client giving them an idea of what their new space can look like with a Debenvale kitchen.
Along with a kitchen our clients requested a utility space for their washing machine and dryer with plenty of storage to put the dog treats and washing liquids away, whilst giving them extra worktop space and an additional sink area.
This kitchen is designed with very traditional features with exterior plinths and a small detail of beading on the frame. Radius corners allow the space to flow continuously. The two-toned colours of dark grey on the island unit and lighter grey on the outer larder units are carried on through to the utility give the sense of more space. Units are hand painted in our favourite Little Greene paint creating the desired look our clients were after.
The white marble Cimstone worktop finishes off the island units perfectly, drawing together the darker colours and bringing the different zones all together creating one large family orientated space. The simplistic style of the worktops works perfectly with the detailing of the units.
At one end of the kitchen is the media/TV area. Housing also the wine cellar unit with single units either side incorporating all the media tucking them out of the way and out of sight giving a clean run. Either side hugging the TV area are two large larder units with three deep internal drawers and shelves to store all the must haves and crockery.
We have created a bank of units housing the Neff ovens and coffee maker on the back wall using full height of the room creating an area designated just to cooking. Including lots of storage with the two deep drawers and cabinets. To the right of these, hidden behind the larder unit doors is the fridge and freezer and a swivel larder to hold the jars and pots.
We didn’t just stop at the kitchen and utility room we also designed and hand made the huge, stunning table sitting 10 people around it comfortably with an inset of the Cimstone matching the worktops on the kitchen units and connecting the dining and cooking space together and creating one open space.
The island unit incorporates a pull out bin with two sets of soft close drawer stacks with oak dovetail interiors and a dishwasher. The hob is placed at the one end creating a social environment for cooking with family and friends sitting round the circular oak breakfast bar area. Behind the hob is the down draft creating the best ventilation system for the space.
Around the corner from the hob is a Franke sink with two Perrin and Rowe taps. The smaller one to the right an instant boiling water tap and the main tap to the left. A pop up socket is also designed into the island with ease of access from the breakfast area.
This Felixstowe kitchen overall is a very stunning, modern yet traditional with adequate storage for a family with the latest technology incorporated. Finished off to the highest of standards with perfect detailing from the beading to the cup handles.
“A very beautiful space, we love it. Thank you Debenvale.”
