Fitted, handmade bedroom furniture
Walk-in wardrobes; aren’t they just such stuff as dreams are made of? Well, these ones certainly are, especially if those dreams were made from warm dovetailed oak, and hand-finished in Little Greene Paint.
We have a range across three bedrooms here. The first one to visit is the Master Bedroom, a testimony to subtle texture and practicality. Before we move onto that stunning walk-in, it’s worth paying a visit to the bespoke headboard, with integral mirrors, plush upholstery and ‘useful’ sockets, you know USBs and the like rather than 13amp!
Off to the side we are graced with the walk-in closet, with floor to ceiling wardrobes, culminating at the window with an oak counter used as a dressing unit. As one might expect with Debenvale, each unit is lovingly handcrafted to the homeowner’s exact requirements, and just as beautiful on the inside as the outside.
Fitted to appear free standing
The second bedroom treats us to a quadruple wardrobe delight. We’ve become big fans of the asymmetric shaker style, leaving the panels in ratio of thirds which is just so pleasing to the eye.
Whilst understated, these handmade oak units are not dull by any means. The elegance of the radius to the upright and the inclusion of a subtle bead between the frames and the doors adds design interest without becoming intrusive. The gentle mitre to the plinths complements the soft corners and adds to the overall handcrafted appeal.
The inside drawers are bespoke oak, and again, finished with beautiful and durable dovetail joints. Using real solid timber throughout means these drawers will never sag or stick.
Small but perfectly formed
This wardrobe and window seat combination is not only beautiful but also supremely practical.
Once more we see the asymmetric approach to the shaker front, but this time opting for recessed handles instead of nickel, which we’re sure you’ll agree is a stylish option. Forming part of a much smaller guest room, space was a consideration. The doors on this bedroom unit are sliding doors, to allow for reduced opening space near the bed.
The inside rails and construction are of the same high-quality craftsmanship of all the other units seen here so far, and this piece is also constructed internally from oak, with dovetail joints and finished in highly durable Little Greene paint.
As with all of the clothes rails in this project you will find LED lighting to brighten up those dark hanging spaces so often obscured.
